Connect with an Experienced Parent Who Truly Understands Early Intervention
You’re Not Alone on This Journey!
Raising a child is filled with joyful milestones, learning moments, and the occasional wave of uncertainty. If you’re a parent whose child is receiving, or may need, Early Intervention services, you may feel overwhelmed, unsure where to turn, or just in need of a supportive voice who truly gets it.
At Encompass Family Support Services, we offer more than just resources. We offer real people, real support, and a chance to connect with someone who’s walked this path before.
Meet Heidi: A Parent Who’s Been There
Parent-to-Parent Support for Early Intervention Families in North Dakota
Heidi Kotchian is our Encompass Experienced Parent, and she’s not just a team member. She’s a fellow parent who has personally navigated the North Dakota Early Intervention system with her own child. She understands the emotional rollercoaster that comes with new diagnoses, juggling therapy schedules, and trying to advocate for your child while still managing everyday life.
Heidi is here to support families with children under age 3 who are currently in Early Intervention, or may need help getting started.
Why Talk to an Experienced Parent?
When you're navigating Early Intervention services for the first time, talking to someone who’s already been through it can make the process feel less overwhelming. Heidi is here to:
Listen without judgment when you need someone who understands.
Answer your questions about how Early Intervention works and what to expect.
Share tips and real-life strategies for handling appointments, routines, and transitions.
Offer comfort and encouragement when things feel uncertain.
No question is too small, and no feeling is too big. Whether you’re navigating your first IFSP meeting or figuring out how to support your child at home, Heidi is here to help you breathe a little easier.
Real Help. Real Understanding.
Heidi’s role is personal, not clinical. She's not here to give medical advice, but she can offer heartfelt guidance, encouragement, and reassurance. She understands the language, the emotions, and the process of Early Intervention in North Dakota.
Sometimes, just knowing someone else has made it through can be the most powerful support of all.
